Cocktail Weenies with Gramma Dulloo's Whiskey Catsup


 Ingredients

2 cups catsup

1/4 cup whiskey

2 tbsp brown sugar, or to taste

cocktail weenies*


Instructions

In a small pot over medium heat, mix catsup, whiskey, and brown sugar. Cook for five minutes, stirring. Be careful of splatters as the sauce thickens.

Add the cocktail weenies, cover pot, and simmer for ten minutes. Use cocktail picks to arrange the weenies on a pineapple, if desired, and serve with extra catsup for dipping.

*If you can't find vegan cocktail weenies, you can cut regular vegan weenies into smaller pieces. I would recommend Field Roast Frankfurt ers if you don't make your own. I used Via a vegan cocktail weenies for the video.

One Bite Burglars


Ingredients

bread

Beyond Beef meatballs

vegan cheese

cherry tomatoes

green leaf lettuce

cornichons

vegan mayonnaise

ketchup or mustard


Instructions

Pinch each meatball in half, roll into a ball, shape into a patty, and place in a hot skillet. Cook one side til done, then flip.

Cut vegan cheese slices into small squares. Place on cooked sides of burgers, reduce heat, and cook til burgers are done and cheese is melted.

While burgers are cooking, prepare toppings. Using a cookie cutter the same size as the patties, cut bread into circles. Toast.

Slice tomatoes and cut small pieces of lettuce from the curly edges.

When the burgers are ready, place a dab of mayonnaise on the bread. Add ketchup or mustard. Arrange lettuce on top. Place burger on lettuce. Place tomato on burger. Skewer a cornichon on a cocktail pick, slide pick through the burger stack, and adjust the cornichon so it presses against the tomato.
